I don't really believe your music is... out of place-y? In comparison to the mythical "modern age of music" you mentioned. I took a quick listen at your most recent track to hear if something was off and it's rather okay, pretty good sounding even. It sounds like you need more confidence in your own work than actual skill, because it actually sounds pretty neat on its own.
The, er, large amount of exposition dumped in the post was interesting to read, but the main thing I got out of it was that you really have a passion for music and you'd do all you can to be able to fulfill it, which is honestly good. Even going so far as to befriend the school guards just so you can make music. If that's not true dedication to your art then I don't know what is, and while I respect your decision, it'd be a waste to leave it all behind.
Keep your head up, yo. You're pretty good. Don't be discouraged if you feel like you're worth nothing and that you can't come up with something that sounds the absolute best, because that's okay. Just keep on making music and learning along the way; as long as you're having fun is what counts.
You got a thorn stuck in your chest, sure, but nobody said you can't take it out. Godspeed my guy ;)
